Our Story
The idea for Purpose Gallery came out of facing the challenges of living in a rapidly changing world. How do you find purpose in what you do that is more than just a job, or the place you live? We experimented with a variety of ideas and settled on one for our new direction - finding beauty in art and taking that to the world, from New Zealand.
We moved to Māpua in April 2021 and began running our gallery. This is part of our story along the way.

Our Opening
Our official launch for Purpose Gallery was 1st May 2021 but our launch party came about a month later in June. We packed out the venue with over 150 people on our Opening Night.

Exhibitions and Events
We activated the gallery with art exhibitions and other events. We even held a fashion show in the gallery space!

Outdoor Gallery
We wanted to reactivate the outdoor space and included kinetic and other outdoor sculptures as well as the vibrant wildflower garden.

In-Situ Gallery
We wanted to display the work of the artists we represent in a domestic setting - as if it would look if you were at home. We changed the layout of our spaces to incorporate the artwork and our visitor accommodation.
